Morgan is a leader, learner and designer. Currently, she serves as a Deeper Learning Coach for Envision Learning Partners, a School Retool Coach with IDEO, Design Facilitator w/ d.school @ Stanford, a partner and facilitator to the National Equity Project and partners with systems leaders to define their vision, design their model, and take steps towards executing on that vision. She recently completed a seven year Principalship of TK-8 arts-integrated, expeditionary learning school called ASCEND, in Oakland, California.
She works at the intersection of equity and design to transform the schooling system. More equitable outcomes for all stakeholders are possible when we take a human- centered approach to the ways ‘we work,’ and when we design for complexity. By building strong teams and using design thinking, we move to cultivate the conditions for sustainable innovation and change towards deeper learning. She believes small steps lead to big change and that a key to transforming schools is ‘doing for adults what we want them to do for kids.’ Bit-by-bit- we will make MAGIC happen!
